Planning to study in Ukraine for MBBS? There are thousands of famous medical universities abroad that have the standard infrastructure and recognised degrees. For Indian students, getting admission to MBBS university in Ukraine will have you sit for NEET examinations. NEET or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is the only test Indian students are required for admission to Ukraine, Russia etc. But once you are on board to your new MBBS university in Ukraine, several tests and assignments are provided to brush up your knowledge. The MBBS universities in Ukraine have come up with the KROK Examinations that happen in the third and sixth years.

This is an important and vital examination for the MBBS course in Ukraine to receive a certification of a qualified physician. Every student studying Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry etc have to undergo the KROK exam. There are two separate examinations, KROK-1 is taken during the third year and KROK-2 during the sixth and final year. KROK exam in Ukraine is conducted by the Testing Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. This exam is taken in three languages, English, Russian and Ukrainian benefiting local and foreign students. What is KROK 1?

KROK-1 is the first introduction to this exam in the third year of your MBBS in Ukraine. It is a mandatory examination for every medical student who finished the second semester of the third year. The promotion to the fourth year determines on your KROK exams.

KROK-1 Exam Pattern

KROK-1 examination is held in the third year of your MBBS programme. A total of 200 multiple choice questions are given and students are provided with 3 hours and 20 minutes time to complete the exam. Unlike NEET, negative markings are not present for incorrect answers and every correct answer is allotted with 1 mark.

KROK-1 Marking and Results

The students must score at least 60.5% in their KROK-1 examinations, the students must receive a total of 121 marks out of 200. A student can appear for KROK-1 thrice but after which s/he won’t be promoted to the fourth year of MBBS course.

What is KROK-2?

KROK-2 examination is held in the sixth and final year of their MBBS programme in Ukraine. It is for students who have cleared their KROK-1 examination and have successfully passed every project. This examination is held not for the future medical specialisation but for graduation from MBBS abroad and their license to practice.

KROK-1 examination is held in the sixth year of the MBBS programme. A total of 200 multiple choice questions are given and students are provided with 3 hours and 20 minutes time to complete the exam. Unlike NEET, negative markings are not present for incorrect answers and every correct answer is allotted with 1 mark.

KROK-2 Syllabus with Percentage

The syllabus details for KROK-2 is slightly different and it is mentioned below:

Surgical profile tasks students are to carry 20%

Therapeutic profile tasks students are to carry 40%

Pediatric profile tasks students are to carry 15%

Hygiene profile tasks students are to carry 12.5%

Obstetrics and Gynecology profile tasks students are to carry 12.5%

KROK-2 Marking and Results

The students must score at least 60.5% in their KROK-2 examinations, the students must receive a total of 121 marks out of 200. A student who will not clear KROK-2 will not be provided with the licensing certificate by the university and the Health Ministry of Ukraine.

Number of Attempts for KROK

KROK-1 re-examinations can be given twice while KROK-2 re-examinations must be taken within a year. The students who fail the KROK examinations are not permitted to sit for the state graduation test and s/he won’t be receiving any exam certificate.
