Neet Eligibility Criteria

India

There are nearly 3 times as many students applying for the MBBS in India as the number of available seats, and the competition is cutthroat as admission takes place on the basis of rank secured. In comparison, students pursuing MBBS abroad have minimum requirements in terms of NEET ranking. Even after scoring 450-480 marks in NEET 2019 an MBBS student cant get admission on merit grounds, as for all Indian categories and for state quota students the cutoff is usually around 500+. So, where is the option to be found from? Either a year drop or switching to some other course left for the MBBS student who had dreamed to become a successful doctor and serve the nation.

Abroad

International exposure studying abroad is a learning experience in itself, regardless of the course. As you learn about a new culture and how to adapt to a new environment. Specifically for an MBBS abroad, studying gives wide exposure to a variety of medical conditions, along with advanced technology, and amenities. Apart from teachers, you will learn from interacting with students from different nationalities as well. Students also get International degrees and students can work in India as well abroad. Students will get the chance to meet students coming from different countries, ethnicity, and background in the top medical universities abroad. This exposure will be of great help for all the students trying to settle in a new country.

Female feel unsafe to travel alone in India especially late hours is a big concern. We need stringent action to be taken against culprits to set an example. However, women’s safety is one of the top priorities in India, and not every city in India has a risk factor for women.

Abroad

The Student To Teacher Ratio

India

Though India has the highest number of medical colleges, the small graduating class strengths of 100-150 students creating a major problem for a population of this size. It also creates problems for teachers and students to interact and try to seek answers.

Abroad

The student-to-teacher ratio is 10:1 in all Foreign Medical Universities. About 12 of these universities provide MBBS in English. In the past decade, there has been a tenfold increase in the number of international students travelling for MBBS in Russia.

Back Dated Syllabus And Teaching Style

India

Regular breakthroughs take place in the medical field, but the medical syllabus in India is not updated accordingly. The science field is segregated from each other owing to an incomplete understanding of how different bases of knowledge can be put together for better implementation. New domains of medical science are also barely touched upon. Students study in a teacher-centric pattern, which doesn’t employ technology as much as foreign countries. Teachers for medical institutes are selected based on their degrees and not their clinical experience. This cuts down the effectiveness of the knowledge they can impart to the students.

Abroad

The best part of the MBBS abroad is that the teaching pattern is updated every time. Tests are conducted daily and make scheme based on it. Students get three attempts every year and if they don’t clear in the third attempt, they are failed. Universities abroad offer some amazing facilities and opportunities to the students apart from offering world-class infrastructure and educational and practical knowledge. The student-teacher ratio is comparatively low, thus, leading the students to learn and clear their doubts in a better way. The classrooms are practical oriented which intensifies the interest level of the students in the subject. Attending and passing a screening test after successful completion of graduation will make you eligible for MCI registration. Foreign medical universities are certainly the premium and the best choice for any student who is interested in studying MBBS and wish for a bright career in the same field.
